Whether you agree this is the final day of the decade or not is debatable. But what is not is that 2009 was a good year for me. Work was stressful at times, but good. We are blessed to have two incomes and stable jobs. And we are very, very thankful that ourselves, our family and our friends are all healthy and well.
This year we rang in the new year with a trip to the local bowling alley! My daughter and husband had fun trying to get the ball all the way down the lane, and I had fun watching them and taking pictures. Unfortunately, the lighting in bowling alleys isn't real great, so the picture quality is poor, but you get the point.
After an hour or so of that, we headed home to put our daughter in bed and hang out for a while. We've never been real concerned with staying up until midnight, so we just set an alarm for just before midnight and then went and kissed our daughter when it was time. It was a relaxing start to the New Year.
